5th Grade: Animal Classification
Today, students learned about Taxonomy, the scientific levels of classification and naming animals. They also investigated the different characteristics by which animals are classified.
Kindergarten: Penguins!
Kindergartners learned more about penguins today in Science Lab. Students investigated parts of a penguins body and how their beaks and feathers are adapted to help them be successful in their polar environment.

Our 1st graders reviewed the states of matter today and discussed and modeled how the particles
in each type of matter differ.
5th: Cardiac Physiology Lab
“I Wanna Know Your Heartbeat!” Today, 5th graders investigated pulse and blood pressure and how activity level can impact these heart functions. They also learned how to take and calculate their heart rates.
