4th Grade Crayon Rock Cycle

4th grade recently completed a Crayon Rock Cycle Lab. Students shaved crayons to represent weathering and erosion, then deposited their “sediments” and added pressure to create a Sedimentary “Rock”. More pressure was added to form a Metamorphic “Rock.” Finally, their rock was melted and then cooled to form an Igneous “Rock.”

2nd: Animals in Winter

Our second graders discussed how animals survive in winter today with a focus on migration, hibernation, and adaptation. We then made snow and built mini snowmen! ⛄️
