Moving Air!
Today our FPD fourth graders conducted a lab to demonstrate how cold air and hot air combine to create instability in the atmosphere -- the perfect condition for a thunderstorm. Click HERE to see a cool WACKY WATER video we watched in class further demonstrating this phenomenon. Below are a few pictures from our time together.
We're Going on a Nature Walk!
This week our FPD kindergarteners enjoyed the beautiful weather on a nature walk around campus! We used "Nature View Finders" to spot items of all different colors and varieties. We ended with a trip to our FPD garden and greenhouse where we spotted 3 huge cucumbers growing, and we released a spider donated by Sam and Kate Gordon. What a wonderful Wednesday morning on campus!
